All About Gas Pressure Cleaning Machines
Gas-powered machines offer many advantages over other types of machines. At the same time, electric powered systems are better for certain cleaning applications. The following is an overview of gas high pressure washers, their advantages, and disadvantages.
Categories Of Pressure Cleaning Machines
A pressure washer is classified into many categories, including a water pressure washer, steam pressure washer, tri-mode cleaning machine, industrial pressure washer, and more. These classifications are based on the features and output of the machines.
A water pressure washer provides cold water and/or hot water output. A steam pressure washer, on the other hand, offers steam output at a temperature of up to 330°F. Such high temperatures set steam pressure cleaners apart from the rest in terms of cleaning power, as steam quickly dissolves even the most stubborn, hardened deposits. Tri-mode pressure cleaning machines, the best option for a range of applications, provide all three kinds of output – cold water, hot water, and steam.
Another way of classifying a pressure washer is based on the power source of the machine. Top suppliers offer gas, propane, diesel, and electric powered pressure cleaners. Each of which offers their own benefits. For example, electric systems are often ideal for indoor applications as electricity is readily available and these machines do not generate exhaust. Benefits of Gas Pressure Cleaning Machines
The main benefit of gas pressure cleaning machines is that they can be Used both indoors and outdoors. Though gas systems do generate exhaust, the machine can be placed outdoors. The operator can then utilize additional hose lengths to reach indoor applications. In fact, top suppliers offer additional pressure hose lengths up to 100-200 ft.
Another advantage of high pressure washers that use gasoline as their power source is that they are portable. Whether they utilize wheel mounted or truck mounted configurations, these machines are often more portable than their electric powered counterparts as they do not require use in proximity to a source of electricity.
Electric pressure washers are portable, as well. However, the need to have a source of electricity nearby makes them an inconvenient option for mobile cleaning applications outdoors.
Uses of Gas Pressure Washers
One can use gas pressure washers on mostly all hard surface cleaning applications, as long as the surface can withstand the demands of high pressure levels. Pressure cleaners are a must for commercial and industrial cleaning jobs. Other cleaning machines cannot match pressure cleaners in terms of power and cleaning efficiency.

Limitations of Gas Pressure Washers
These pressure washers are not without limitations. The main limitation of these machines is the exhaust productions. If the machines are used for an indoor cleaning application, the exhaust can create an un-safe indoor environment. Another side effect is noise pollution, as gas pressure cleaners operate at higher sound levels than electric powered units.
